We provide a bag with 2-3 outfits directly to CYS when kids are taken into care. Alternately, caseworkers can bring the children to shop and pick out their own items. We have two rooms with reserved items, not for sale to the public, all new and a variety of sizes, not to include shoes.
Baby boy clothes for a family in crisis. Babies grow quickly and need clothes, diapers, and wipes, just as much as food and formula or milk.
In August 2021, we partnered with The Salvation Army in Towanda for the first time to provide bookbags, school supplies, and a selection of children's books to low income families and kids in care. The Salvation Army provided back to school clothes for those same families. 97 bookbag kits were handed out in 2021; 200 book bags were handed out in 2022.
The book bags and school supplies were paid for by a grant made by BHE GT&S company in 2022.
